Pressing processes for realization of special and individual shaping. Shaping processes in connection with hot embossing in a press: Form presses in general deal with a cold or hot shaping under the influence of specifically applied compression forces. In this case it may make sense to work by differently leveled subsequent pressing steps which will allow the material to be shaped to accept the shaping applied by force, to increase it and to permanently maintain it Besides a cold shaping, also a shaping under temperature may be feasible. The pressing process will interfere with the material structure which – as function of the material – will experience a required permanent transformation or shaping or stabilization of a given form. In thins context, the presence of temperature and/or temperature gradients may be helpful but not absolutely necessary, or it even may be a prerequisite for initiating the shaping tests or finally stabilize it by a type of re-shaping . Example Shaping or shape stabilization of a natural fiber mat impregnated with melamine resin by means of an individual 3D tool on one of our machines under the influence of temperature and compression force in connection with a multistage distance dependant pressing (distance measuring system). The result will be a form plate which will be used later on e.g. as internal door paneling in a car or as hat shelf in a car:
